Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son principe de mesure, cet instrument est id\u00e9al pour la mesure sans inertie des rafales et des valeurs de cr\u00eate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vitesse et direction du vent<\/strong><br \/>\nLa vitesse de propagation du son en air calme est superpos\u00e9e aux composantes de la vitesse d&rsquo;un flux d&rsquo;air dans la direction du vent. Une composante de la vitesse du vent dans la direction de propagation du son favorise la vitesse de propagation\u00a0; elle augmente alors qu&rsquo;une composante de la vitesse du vent dans la direction oppos\u00e9e la r\u00e9duit.<\/p>\n<p>La vitesse de propagation r\u00e9sultant de cette superposition entra\u00eene des temps de propagation du son diff\u00e9rents selon la vitesse et la direction du vent sur une trajectoire de mesure fixe. La vitesse du son d\u00e9pendant fortement de la temp\u00e9rature de l&rsquo;air, le temps de propagation du son est mesur\u00e9 sur chacune des deux trajectoires de mesure, dans les deux sens. Ceci exclut l&rsquo;influence de la temp\u00e9rature sur le r\u00e9sultat de la mesure. En combinant les deux voies de mesure perpendiculaires, les r\u00e9sultats de mesure de la somme et de l&rsquo;angle du vecteur vitesse du vent sont obtenus sous forme de composantes rectangulaires. Une fois ces composantes rectangulaires mesur\u00e9es, elles sont converties en coordonn\u00e9es polaires par le processeur de signal num\u00e9rique de l&rsquo;an\u00e9mom\u00e8tre et transmises sous forme de somme et d&rsquo;angle de la vitesse du vent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Temp\u00e9rature virtuelle acoustique<\/strong><br \/>\nLa relation thermodynamique entre la vitesse de propagation du son et la temp\u00e9rature absolue de l&rsquo;air est d\u00e9finie par une fonction racine. La relation physique entre la vitesse du son et la temp\u00e9rature est id\u00e9ale pour mesurer la temp\u00e9rature de l&rsquo;air, \u00e0 condition que la composition chimique soit connue et constante.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chauffage<\/strong><br \/>\nL&rsquo;an\u00e9mom\u00e8tre \u00e0 ultrasons est \u00e9quip\u00e9 d&rsquo;un syst\u00e8me de chauffage sophistiqu\u00e9 qui maintient efficacement \u00e0 une temp\u00e9rature sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 +5 \u00b0C toutes les surfaces ext\u00e9rieures susceptibles de perturber l&rsquo;acquisition des donn\u00e9es en cas de formation de glace. Les bras porteurs des convertisseurs, ainsi que les convertisseurs \u00e0 ultrasons eux-m\u00eames et le bo\u00eetier, font partie des surfaces ext\u00e9rieures chauff\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;appareil \u00e0 ultrasons est capable d&rsquo;acqu\u00e9rir des donn\u00e9es de mesure avec une grande pr\u00e9cision, m\u00eame \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tat non chauff\u00e9, jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 -40 \u00b0C. La qualit\u00e9 des donn\u00e9es de mesure ne d\u00e9pend pas de la temp\u00e9rature.
